Unexpected fonts spliced together to create something new.

By stuffing my hand into a baggie full of printed fonts, I was assigned the dramatically different Rosella Inline and Clease Plap fonts for this assignment’s font “parents.”

Clease Plap
Rosella Inline
The resulting fonts, Honoria and Safiya, reflect and contrast the aesthetics of their “parents.”

Honoria is a high-contrast inline serif that is just geometric enough to evoke a modern art deco aesthetic. And while it is also an inline font, Safiya is a blocky italic sans serif font that would look great as a logotype for a racing video game or techno nightclub.
